Kathleen M. Lightfoot is a lifelong resident of Massillon, Ohio and a dedicated leader in the volleyball community with over 25 years of coaching and club management experience. She has held USAV/OVR Coach Certification since 2000 and has served as Club Director and Tournament Director for Club Extreme since 2005. Her extensive training includes IMPACT and ASEP certifications, SafeSport, CPR/AED, Concussion Training, and Positive Coaching Alliance Levels I, II, and III.


Kathleen's coaching career spans multiple levels, from junior high through club competition. She coached at St. Mary's School, Central Catholic High School, and North Canton High School, where her freshman teams earned multiple Federal League Championships and tournament titles between 2001 and 2004. She was also one of the founding coaches of the Stark County Junior High School Parochial Volleyball League and has been a member of both the Stark County and Ohio High School Volleyball Coaches Associations.


At the club level, Kathleen has coached or directed teams competing in USAV/OVR Junior Olympics since 2000 across multiple age groups. Her most notable result came in 2014, when her 15-and-Under team finished as Regional Champions, ranked 1st in their division. Most recently in 2026, her 18-and-Under team earned 3rd place in the Gold Bracket, ranked 14th nationally. Throughout her tenure she has developed competitive teams consistently placing among the top finishers in regional and American championships.


As Club Director, Kathleen oversees all aspects of Club Extreme's operations and development, supporting coaches and athletes across every age group. Her vision for the program includes youth introductory camps, junior high staff development, strength and conditioning, and expanded summer league opportunities — reflecting her lifelong commitment to growing the sport and supporting athletes at every stage of their development.
