Club Director Kathleen Lightfoot

Kathleen is the Club Director for Club Extreme Volleyball and has been a part of the Northeast Ohio volleyball community for three decades.

Kathleen’s volleyball coaching career starts with coaching the junior high school teams at St. Mary’s School in Massillon, Ohio, from 1997 to 2002. Kathleen was one of the founding coaches in the Stark County Junior High School Parochial Volleyball League, and in that time she led two teams into the tournament finals. Also in her time at St. Mary’s School, she was the Assistant Boys & Girls Combined Track Team Coach in 1998 and 1999 and Head Boys & Girls Combined Track Team Coach from 2000 to 2002.

Kathleen moved into high school coaching in 2000 as the coach for the Freshman team at Central Catholic High School in Canton Ohio in 2000, additionally leading skills camps there in 2001. She then went coach the freshman at North Canton Hoover High School in North Canton, Ohio from 2001 to 2004. In 2001 she led the team to a 14-5 record along with GlenOak Freshman Tournament Champions, Federal League Champions, and winning the Federal League All-Sports Award. In 2002 the team finished 8-10, but she led the team to be a Federal League Tournament Semi-Finalist. In 2003 her team was the Federal League Freshman Tournament Champions and won the Federal League All-Sports Award, and came back in 2004 to be the overall Federal League Champions. In the off-season, she focused on instructional camps for elementary and junior high school students as a coach at North Canton Volley Vikes in 2003 and 2004 and Junior High Summer Camp Coach in 2003.

Kathleen began coaching at Club Extreme Volleyball in 2000 and has continually coached high-performing teams at both the Regional and American levels.

Kathleen became the Club Director at Club Extreme Volleyball in 2007 and since has built the club into a premier destination for area standout athletes. Her focus has been on building a cohesive year-round program, including youth camps and programs for Elementary & Junior High student/athletes, Weight & Conditioning Programs, Open Gyms, Summer Leagues & Tournaments for High School programs, Program-wide Team Camp, and Junior High Staff Development. Kathleen received the Robert L. Lindsay Meritorious Service Award in 2021.

Kathleen has lived in Massillon, Ohio since 1969, and was a three-sport athlete ( Volleyball, Basketball, Track ) at Jackson High School from 1977 to 1980. Kathleen graduated from Hocking Technical College with an Associates Degree of Applied Science in Forestry in 1982. Kathleen has one daughter, 2 grandchildren, 3 furry kids, and professionally is a Quality Coordinator and Office Manager.
